The movie's visual style will be based on the painting "The Swing", by the French Rococo artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard. Because (former) director Glen Keane wanted this to be an animated movie that looked and felt like a traditional hand-drawn Disney Classic in 3D, he first had a seminar called "The Best of Both Worlds", where he, with 50 Disney animators (CGI artists and traditional artists), focused on the pros and cons of each style. Because of advancements in computer technology, many basic principles of animation used in traditional animated movies but which have been absent in CGI films due to technical limitations are now becoming possible also in this field of animation, where they will be used together with the potential offered by CGI. Keane has stated numerous times that he is trying to make the computer "bend its knee to the artist" instead of having the computer dictate the artistic style and look of the film. By making the computer become as "pliable as the pencil," Keane's vision of a "three dimensional drawing" seems within reach, with the artist controlling the technology. Because many of the techniques and tools that were required to give the film the quality Keane demanded of it didn't exist when the project was started, WDFA had to make them on their own.

To create the impression of a drawing, non-photorealistic rendering is going to be used, making the surface look like it is painted but still containing depth and dimensions.

The film was made in CGI although Tangled was modeled on the traditional look of oil paintings on canvas. The Rococo paintings of French artist Jean-Honore Fragonard, particularly The Swing, were used as references for the film's artistic style, a style described by Keane as "romantic and lush." Keane said, "There’s no photoreal hair. I want luscious hair, and we are inventing new ways of doing that. I want to bring the warmth and intuitive feel of hand-drawn to CGI."

One of the main goals of the animators was to create movement that mimicked the soft fluidity of the hand-drawn art found in older Disney animated classics. Keane credited Disney 3D animator Kyle Strawitz with helping to combine CGI with the traditional hand-drawn style. "He took the house from Snow White and built it and painted it so that it looked like a flat painting that suddenly started to move, and it had dimension and kept all of the soft, round curves of the brushstrokes of watercolor. Kyle helped us get that Fragonard look of that girl on the swing… We are using subsurface scattering and global illumination and all of the latest techniques to pull off convincing human characters and rich environments."

It had originally been announced in April 2007 that Annie-nominated animator and story artist Dean Wellins would be co-directing the film alongside Glen Keane.

On October 9, 2008, however, it was reported that Keane and Wellins had stepped down as directors, and were replaced by the team of Byron Howard and Nathan Greno, director and storyboard director, respectively, of Disney's 2008 animated feature Bolt. Keane stayed on as executive producer, while Wellins has moved onto developing other short films and feature films.

Original music was composed for the movie by Alan Menken with lyrics written by Glenn Slater. Menken said he attempted to blend medieval music with 1960s folk rock to create the new songs.

When first put into production, the film was promoted as having the title Rapunzel Unbraided, which was then changed to Rapunzel.

Disney's previous animated feature The Princess and the Frog in 2009, while being highly critically acclaimed and taking in nearly $270 million worldwide, was not as successful as Disney had hoped. Disney expressed the belief that the film's emphasis on princesses may have deterred young boys from seeing the film. In order to market the film to both boys and girls, Disney changed the film's name from Rapunzel to Tangled, while also emphasizing Flynn Rider, the film's prominent male character. Disney was criticized for altering the classic title and story as a marketing strategy. Floyd Norman, a former Disney and Pixar animator, said, "The idea of changing the title of a classic like Rapunzel to Tangled is beyond stupid. I'm convinced they'll gain nothing from this except the public seeing Disney as desperately trying to find an audience."

The Next Three Days is a remake of the 2007 French film Pour Elle (Anything for Her) by Fred Cavayé. The plot of Pour Elle involved a teacher Julien (Vincent Lindon) who experienced difficulties when his wife (Diane Kruger) became a suspect in a murder investigation and was arrested. Julien does not believe that his wife is guilty of the crime, and attempts to remove her from the prison.

Pour Elle was Cavayé's directing debut. The film was one of the main attractions of the Alliance Française French Film Festival in 2010. Cavayé explained the plot and motivation for making the film, "We wanted to make a real human story about an ordinary man doing an extraordinary thing because he's faced with a miscarriage of justice. The film also talks about courage - saying how you show courage depending on the situation. In France, for example, there were good people who did not go into the Resistance against the Germans."

Cavayé told The Age regarding the remake of the film by Haggis, he is eager "To be a spectator of my own film". The director commented on the news his film would be remade by Haggis, "It's a strange feeling. I wrote this story in my very small apartment in Paris. When I saw my name next to Russell Crowe on the net, it was amazing."

In October 2009, Haggis and his staff were filming in the principal photography stage of production in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On October 4, 2009, filming of the movie was ongoing and was set to complete on December 12, 2009. On December 14, 2009, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that filming of The Next Three Days was going to wrap that day, after 52 days of shooting.

In October 2009, the film was scheduled to be released in 2011, however by March 2010, the Australian media company Village Roadshow was set to release the film in Australia in November 2010. It will be released in the United States on November 19, 2010.

The decision to divide Rowling's final book into a two-part movie came from the original declined proposal to split Goblet of Fire in 2004. Deathly Hallows was shot back to back, and treated as if it were one film. The idea to split the book into a two-part movie had been around since the middle of 2007, but only came into serious consideration after producer David Heyman was able to talk to writer Steve Kloves when the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike ended and Heyman had Rowling's approval. Kloves started his work on the script for the second part in April 2009.

According to Warner Bros. executive Alan F. Horn it will allow "an extra hour and a half to celebrate what this franchise has been and do justice to all the words and ideas in the amazing story." Heyman described the workings behind the split: "Deathly Hallows is so rich, the story so dense and there is so much that is resolved that, after discussing it with J. K. Rowling, we came to the conclusion that two parts were needed." Kloves was not able to start work on the script until the WGA strike ended.

Before David Yates was officially chosen to direct the film, others had expressed an interest in the job. Alfonso Cuarón, director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, had said that he would be tempted to return to direct. Guillermo del Toro, who passed on Prisoner of Azkaban, had expressed interest in directing Deathly Hallows, but an increased workload over the production of The Hobbit ruled him out of the project.

Rowling was appointed producer on the two-part film, alongside David Heyman and David Barron. Heyman noted that the films will be a closer recreation of the books than the previous films because of the length a two-part adaptation entails. Daniel Radcliffe said: "This is a road movie, particularly in Part One of the film. People have been so used to seeing Harry Potter at Hogwarts and we're just not there for the first part of the film. That seems to have really freshened things up, and hopefully will get people seeing the films with fresh eyes again, because its just a totally different look when you're not just sat in the same room the whole time."

Yates and Heyman have noted that some of the events of the seventh book had an effect on the way the sixth film was written.

Pre-production began on 26 January 2009 (2009-01-26), while filming began on 19 February 2009 (2009-02-19) at Leavesden Studios, where the previous six installments were filmed. Pinewood Studios became the second studio location for filming the seventh movie. Bruno Delbonnel, the Director of Photography for the sixth film, opted not to work on Deathly Hallows, as he was afraid of repeating himself. Therefore Eduardo Serra was chosen to be the cinematographer for Parts 1 and 2. Director David Yates said that the film will be shot with "loads of hand-held cameras." He stated, "I want to shake things up every time I go into this world. I like experimenting as we go along." In October 2009, Ralph Fiennes started filming his role as Lord Voldemort. Many of the adult actors also prepared for filming during that period. The crew also shot on location, with Swinley Forest and Freshwater West as two of the main outdoor filming areas, along with the village of Lavenham in Suffolk and the streets of the city of London.

On 26 March 2010 (2010-03-26), filming finished in Pinewood Studios. However, Leavesden Studios was still occupied for further filming. The Epilogue scene was one of the last scenes to be shot. The movie in its entirety was filmed over a one and a half year period throughout the United Kingdom and finished on 12 June 2010. Even though the shooting schedule was set at 250 days, the filming took 478 days to complete. Radcliffe, Grint, and Watson all openly wept on the last day, which ended their ten years of work on the films.

During production at Leavesden, Radcliffe's stunt double David Holmes suffered a serious spinal injury during the filming of an aerial sequence, which left him paralysed. Holmes fell to the ground following an explosion which was part of the stunt.

Stuart Craig, the production designer of the first six films, stayed on to design all the sets in both parts of Deathly Hallows. Several new sets are introduced, including Malfoy Manor and Shell Cottage. Some sets were rebuilt for the film, including the Chamber of Secrets and a new Ministry of Magic.

Although Yates had retained composer Nicholas Hooper for Half-Blood Prince, Hooper confirmed that he will not be returning for Deathly Hallows. In July 2009, John Williams (composer for the first three films) said that he will return for Deathly Hallows Part 2 as long as it fits with his schedule. In January 2010, Alexandre Desplat was confirmed to produce the score for Part 1 of the Deathly Hallows soundtrack. Desplat will compose throughout the summer with the London Symphony Orchestra and admitted that he will use Hedwig's Theme, created by John Williams, in his composition. In an interview he stated, "We will start this summer and it will take me all summer. I will not have many holidays, but again it's for good reason - for the soundtrack. I would take every opportunity to use the fabulous theme written by John Williams. I'd say it is not sufficiently used in the latest movies, so if I have the opportunity and if the footage will allow me, I will arrange it ... I shall make it with great honour and pleasure." Alexandre Desplat was scheduled to complete the score in September. The film's orchestration started on 14 August 2010 with Conrad Pope (the orchestrator on the first three Potter films) collaborating with Desplat. Pope commented that the music is "exciting and vigorous" and "Those who love melodies, harmonies and emotions in their film scores should be pleased. Reminds one of the old days." On 23 September 2010, it was announced that the score for Part 1 will be released on 16 November 2010. In the liner notes for the original soundtrack, director David Yates writes "As we recorded one track the other day, Ron Returns, it so enchanted me, and everyone in the control room, I had to offer him [Desplat] the job of writing the music for part two on the spot after hearing it." This places in question the possibility of John Williams' involvement in part two.

The trailer music for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows features two tracks, both from Brand X. Track one is called The Sorcerer's Secret and plays on the first three teasers for the film, while the second track, also from Brand X, plays on the trailer for both parts. The third trailer, which promotes only Part 1, features three new tracks: Amphibious Zoo's "Ghost of War", Position Music's "Menace", and finally from the Immediate Music company, "The End of Days". The soundtrack of Part 1 will be realeased in 16th November.

In October 2010, costume designer Jany Temime was exposed for copying a dress from Alexander McQueen's Autumn/Winter 2008 collection for Fleur's wedding dress. Temime had claimed that she "wanted it to be a witch wedding dress but not a Halloween dress. The dress is white but it needed to have something fantastic to it. So there is the phoenix [motif], the bird, which is a symbol of love in a way because there is rebirth, love never dies, it is born again." However, the birds on the McQueen original were actually peacocks, and although Temime did manage to change the crest on the bird's heads to make them more 'phoenixy', she neglected to alter any other detail of the birds, including their rather obvious peacock feathers. The story was widely reported by the fashion media.

Jason Isaacs considered not returning for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before the book was released, as he was worried that the senior Malfoy would have very little screen time due to the character's imprisonment in the previous story. Meeting J. K. Rowling at an awards dinner he fell to his knees and said "Get me out of prison, I beg you." Rowling reassured Isaacs by looking over her shoulder and mouthing "You're out. Chapter One." Isaacs signed onto the film immediately afterward.

Joshua Herdman announced on 9 August 2009 (2009-08-09) that Jamie Waylett would not be reprising his role as Vincent Crabbe for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Waylett's character would instead be written out and his role in the plot taken over by Herdman's character, Gregory Goyle.

Director David Yates has announced that, for the final scene in the film which is set nineteen years after the film's main story, older actors will not be cast to play the main characters. Special effects will be used to depict the cast members as adults.

The first official picture from the first film was released on 1 December 2009 (2009-12-01), showing Harry, Ron and Hermione in a London street. A clip from the film was leaked on 4 December 2009 (2009-12-04) and was officially released on 8 December 2009 (2009-12-08) with the release of Half-Blood Prince on Blu-ray and DVD.

At the 2010s ShoWest convention, Alan Horn premiered unfinished footage from both Part 1 and Part 2 of the upcoming film. The 2010 MTV Movie Awards premiered more footage from both parts of Deathly Hallows. At the Cinema Expo event in Amsterdam on 23 June 2010, a trailer was shown along with a five minute preview of selected scenes. On 28 June 2010, the first official trailer for both parts was released on the internet and also was previewed before The Twilight Saga: Eclipse when it was released on 30 June 2010. During ABC Family's premiere of Huge, the 2½ minute trailer for Deathly Hallows was shown. Following the release of the official teaser poster, ABC Family broadcast interviews and additional scenes from both parts during their Harry Potter weekend, which began on 8 July 2010. Another trailer can be seen from Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4.

Deathly Hallows was represented at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International event. Several props from the film, including the Elder Wand and Slytherin's Locket, were on display. Tom Felton was in attendance and introduced new clips from the film. Warner Bros. International announced that a Harry Potter Movie Marathon would be held in various cities of Japan, accompanied by new exclusive Deathly Hallows footage on 11 August 2010. It was later found that there was no new trailer or footage from the film at the August 11, Japanese event, but rather the featurettes which had been aired outside of Japan.

During the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries on The CW, the first TV spot aired for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. It featured new dialogue from Voldemort, scenes of the Lovegoods' home under attack from the Death Eaters and footage of the ghostly Dumbledore hallucination. On 16 October, the second TV spot was released on Cartoon Network during a premiere of Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. On 21 August 2010, director David Yates, producers David Heyman and David Barron along with Warner Bros. president Alan F. Horn, attended a test screening for Part 1 of Deathly Hallows in Chicago. The unfinished film gained rave reviews from test screeners, some of which labelled it "amazing and dark" and "the most perfect Harry Potter film". Others expressed that the film faithfully adapted the novel, which led to an inheritance of the "book's own problems" with a long runtime of about 200 minutes.

Warner Bros. Pictures was originally going to release Part 1 of Deathly Hallows in 2D and 3D formats. However on 8 October 2010, it was announced that plans for a 3D version of Part 1 had been scrapped. "Warner Bros Pictures has made the decision to release “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” in 2D, in both conventional and IMAX theaters, as we will not have a completed 3D version of the film within our release date window. Despite everyone’s best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality." Part 2, however, will still be released in 2D, 3D and IMAX formats.

After much speculation, Part 1 received a PG-13 rating from MPAA for "some sequences of intense action violence, frightening images and brief sensuality." The film also received a 12A from the BBFC for "moderate fantasy violence and threat." In Australia the film is speculated to have an M or MA15+ Rating, due to intense violence, frightening images and nudity.

The world premiere for Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be held in London's Leicester Square on 11 November 2010. The U.S. premiere for Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be held in New York City on 15 November.

The first part will debut in cinemas worldwide on 19 November 2010, while the second part will be released worldwide on 15 July 2011, eight months after Part 1.

Unstoppable suffered various production challenges before filming could commence, including casting, schedule, location and budgetary concerns.

In June 2007, 20th Century Fox was in negotiations with Martin Campbell to direct the film, and he was attached as director, until March 2009 when Tony Scott came onboard as director. In April, both Denzel Washington and Chris Pine were attached to the project.

The original budget had been trimmed from $107 million down to $100 million, but Fox wanted to further reduce it to the low $90 million range, asking director Scott to cut his salary from $9 million to $6 million, and wanting Washington to shave $4 million off his $20 million fee. Washington declined, and citing lost patience with the film's lack of a start date, and although attached since April, he formally withdrew from the project in July. Fox made a modified offer as enticement and he returned to the project two weeks later.

Locations are set in the Ohio cities of Martins Ferry, Bellaire, Mingo Junction, Steubenville and Brewster, and in the Pennsylvania cities of Pittsburgh, Emporium, Milesburg, Tyrone, Julian, Unionville, Port Matilda, Bradford, Monaca, Eldred, Turtlepoint, Port Allegany and Carnegie, and also in Olean, New York. A two-day filming session took place at the Hooters restaurant in Monroeville, Pennsylvania (a Pittsburgh suburb), featuring 10 Hooters Girls from across the United States. Filming began on August 31, 2009 for a release on November 12, 2010.

Filming was delayed one day when part of the train accidentally derailed on November 21, 2009.

Unstoppable is loosely based on the "Crazy Eights" unmanned train incident in 2001. The train, led by CSX Transportation SD40-2 #8888, left its Walbridge, Ohio rail yard and rumbled on a 66-mile journey through northwest Ohio with no one at the controls, due to the throttle being applied on full instead of a brake. Two of the train's tank cars contained thousands of gallons of molten phenol, a toxic ingredient of paints and dyes harmful when it is inhaled, ingested, or comes into contact with the skin. For two hours, the train traveled along at speeds up to 47 miles per hour until the crew of a second train coupled onto the runaway and slowly applied its brakes. Once #8888 was slowed down to a speed of 11 miles per hour, a CSX employee, trainmaster Jon Hosfeld, ran alongside the train and climbed aboard, shutting down the locomotive. The train was stopped just southeast of Kenton, Ohio.

Watch For Colored Girls (2010) movie online free.

On September 3, 2009, Lionsgate announced it had acquired the distribution rights Tyler Perry's 34th Street Films adaptation of the play, with principal photography originally scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia in November and December 2009, with a planned 2010 release. The film will be written, directed, and produced by Perry. The cast includes Loretta Devine, Kimberly Elise, Whoopi Goldberg, Janet Jackson, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington and Thandie Newton. Mariah Carey had also been cast, but pulled out in May 2010, citing medical reasons; Thandie Newton has been cast to replace her. Macy Gray has also been cast.

Originally titled For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, the film's title was shortened to For Colored Girls in September 2010. In an October 2010 press conference with the cast, Perry credited his full body of work for being able to make the film, stating, "It took everything – Madea, House Of Payne and all of that for me to be able to do For Colored Girls. Had none of that happened I wouldn’t have been able to say, “Listen, this is what I want to do next,” so I’m very proud of it all."

The film was originally planned for a 2010 release, but was later delayed until January 14, 2011. However, the studio chose to move forward the release date to November 5th, 2010; Tyler Perry commented it was "a serious film that really lends itself to the Fall period."

Early reviews from a private screening by Variety and The Hollywood Reporter were negative. Peter DeBruge of Variety stated that "[i]n adapting Ntozake Shange's Tony-nominated play—a cycle of poetic monologues about abuse, abortion and other issues facing modern black women, rather than a traditional narrative—the do-it-all auteur demonstrates an ambition beyond any of his previous work. And yet the result falls squarely in familiar territory, better acted and better lit, perhaps, but more inauthentically melodramatic than ever." DeBruge acknowledged the fact that turning Ntozake Shange's abstract poetry into a linear theatrical plot would have been difficult for any filmmaker. However, he asserts "this latest project seems to fall beyond [Perry's] reach ... he can't resist turning 'For Colored Girls' into a Tyler Perry Movie, which means imposing diva worship where nuance is called for and a pleasure-punishing Christian worldview where a certain moral ambiguity might have been more appropriate." Despite an overall negative view of the film's plot and direction, DeBruge gives praise to the acting of its principle cast.

Kirk Honeycutt of The Hollywood Reporter also highlighted the difficulty in translating Shange's poetic play to film. He commented: "No, it never was going to be easy, but someone needed to put creative sweat into this one, to reach for cinematic solutions to the theatrical challenge. All Perry does is force conventional plots and characters—utter cliches without lives or souls—into the fabric of Shange's literary work. The hackneyed melodramas get him from one poem to the next but run roughshod over the collective sense of who these women are." Honeycutt noted the contrast in Perry's screenwriting and Shange's literature is devastatingly clear, failing to form a cohesive narrative. Similar to DeRuge, Honeycutt acknowledged the talents of the film's actresses, highlighting performances by Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, and Kimberly Elise.

In contrast, a review by Shadow and Act was favorable, calling For Colored Girls "the best thing Perry has done to date." The film is said to be a dramatic improvement from his earlier work. Perry is complimented on his cinematography, and use of "subtlety and nuance", although his screenwriting is still considered to be the weakest aspect of the film. Like previous reviews, praise is given to the acting quality of the cast, especially regarding performances given by Thandie Newton, Janet Jackson, and Kimberly Elise. The Huffington Post journalist Jenee Darden gave a mixed review. She comments Perry's script is weak during the first half of the film, as the interconnected lives of the principle cast feels "choppy", although this problem improves over the second half of the film. She also comments that Perry's modern plot conflicts with the narrative of Shange's poetry which was written during the 1970s. Darden explains: "The film is set in the present and black people don't use the word 'colored' anymore. Watching a character type on a laptop then hearing someone describe themselves as 'colored' a few scenes later doesn't feel realistic." She commends the acting of the cast, stating "Kimberly Elise stirs you as always. Loretta Devine is funny and vivid. Thandie Newton delivers as a troubled, selfish sex addict. She and Whoopi were matched perfectly as a mother and daughter with serious tensions. Singer Macy Gray's eerie portrayal of a back-alley abortionist will make you rethink ever having unsafe sex."
