In March 2004, the production company Jerry Bruckheimer Films sought to acquire feature film rights to the 2003 video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time with the film to be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. Under John August as executive producer, the series' creator Jordan Mechner was hired to write the script. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer's Pirates of the Caribbean film trilogy served as a touchstone in how a theme park ride was converted into a film franchise. According to Mechner, "Rather than do a straight beat-for-beat adaptation of the new videogame, we're taking some cool elements from the game and using them to craft a new story." Mechner previously considered producing an animated film based on the games, but could not resist Disney and Bruckheimer's offer. In February 2006, Disney hired screenwriter Jeffrey Nachmanoff to write a new script for Prince of Persia.

Early in 2007, Disney announced Prince of Persia as one of its tentpole films and by June had scheduled a release date for July 10, 2009, before having a final script or any actors attached. By November 2007, Disney entered negotiations with Mike Newell to direct the film based on a script by Mechner and Nachmanoff, though the studio held off production until the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike was resolved. Newell was fond of Bruckheimer's films, and loved the "exciting [and] immensely romantic" script, which reminded him of Lost Horizon. His assistant played the video games and gave the director key details. Mechner, in writing the script, re-conceived the storyline to shift the perspective from the interactive one experienced by video gamers to the non-interactive experience by film audiences. The screenwriter left out elements of the Prince of Persia video games Warrior Within and The Two Thrones and did not anticipate including these elements in the film's possible sequels.

When filming began, the film's release date was postponed to May 28, 2010, with the studio seeking enough time for the post-production process in designing the film's special effects. The profit margin on the Pirates of the Caribbean films was compromised by overspending as special effects teams rushed to complete the films for their release dates. Variety also ascribed the postponement to avoiding the potential 2008 Screen Actors Guild strike so the studio could ensure that the film leads to a "mega-franchise" similar to its successful Pirates of the Caribbean series. Other reasons for the release date change were that the film was originally scheduled a week before Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Disney needed more time to co-ordinate its marketing campaign.

In March 2008, director Mike Newell selected Morocco as a shooting location for Prince of Persia and also planned to film in Pinewood Studios. Production was scheduled to begin in mid-June 2008. By May 2008, actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton were cast into the lead roles. With a new script by Jordan Mechner, Doug Miro, Carlo Bernard, and Boaz Yakin, filming began in July 2008 in Morocco as well as London. Eight weeks were spent in Morocco before the first unit moved to Pinewood.

It was confirmed that Alanis Morissette composed the theme song for the film, named "I Remain". The score will be written by composer Harry Gregson-Williams.

While primarily based on the video game with the same name, the film also shares some elements with the other games in the Prince of Persia series. Several previously unnamed characters have gained names for the film, including the fact that the Prince actually has a name: Dastan, and the Princess' name has been changed from Farah to Tamina. The main antagonist is not an evil vizier in the film, but rather a villainous nobleman called Nizam. The film also adds a detailed backstory to the Prince which has never been mentioned in the games. Furthermore, the Prince's costume is based on his appearance in Warrior Within instead of The Sands Of Time.

After months of speculation, the cast confirmed in February 2009 that a sequel was in the works. Filming began in August 2009 for a May 28, 2010 release. The release date of May 27, 2010 has been earlier reported.

All four stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall will return in the sequel; Chris Noth has also officially signed on to reprise the role of Mr. Big. It has been confirmed that Evan Handler will be returning as Harry Goldenblatt, John Corbett as Aiden Shaw, David Eigenberg will play Steve Brady once more, Willie Garson will return as Stanford Blatch, and Mario Cantone will again play Anthony Marentino, making the original cast almost complete. Filming in New York had been postponed to the end of July as Dubai authorities have refused clearance for filming in the emirate. As a result, production of this segment of the film will be in Morocco. All four leading ladies and other cast and crew were photographed filming scenes in Morocco in November 2009, where they had originally planned to shoot for 13 days, which had to be extended to almost six weeks.

The sequel officially began filming on September 1, 2009 and continued until the end of 2009. Photos of all four leading women filming scenes around New York together and separately have emerged, featuring present-day scenes as well as a range of looks believed to be flashbacks from the earlier years of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte's long-standing friendships. Images of Samantha in a wedding dress have also been released. Additionally, scenes featuring prominent characters such as Mr. Big, Magda, Smith, Steve, and the children of Miranda and Charlotte have been filmed and photographed.

Promotion for the film began in December 2009, when the official teaser poster was released online, featuring Carrie in a white dress and gold sunglasses which reflect a Moroccan backdrop, and the tagline "Carrie On", a similar pun of the lead character's name as "Get Carried Away" from the first film. The same image and tagline was used for the launch of the official Sex and the City 2 website, also launched in December 2009.

The teaser trailer for the film premiered online on December 22, 2009. In March 2010, new promotional stills were released, predominantly featuring scenes from the Moroccan portion of the film. Holy Rollers is inspired by actual events in the late nineties when Hasidic Jews were recruited as mules to smuggle ecstasy from Europe into the United States. The film has stirred up controversy with Lee Zlotoff, creator of the TV series MacGyver, whose contract stipulates he retained the right to a film version of the TV series. In January 2007, Universal Studios and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment acquired a spec script written by Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris, creators of the TV series Sleeper Cell. Their script portrayed a more sympathetic Sheriff of Nottingham and less virtuous Robin Hood, who become involved in a love triangle with Maid Marian. The writers received a seven-figure deal for the purchase. Actor Russell Crowe was cast into the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham with a salary of $20 million against 20% of the gross. The following April, director Ridley Scott was hired to helm Nottingham. He had attempted to get rights for himself and 20th Century Fox, but had collaborated with Grazer on American Gangster and signed on as director rather than producer. Scott was not a fan of previous film versions of Robin Hood, saying "the best, frankly, was Mel Brooks' Men in Tights, because Cary Elwes was quite a comic".

In June, screenwriter Brian Helgeland was hired to rewrite the script by Reiff and Voris. Producer Marc Shmuger explained Scott had a different interpretation of the story from "the script, [which] had the sheriff of Nottingham as a CSI-style forensics investigator". Scott elaborated the script, portraying the Sheriff of Nottingham as being Richard the Lionheart's right-hand man, who returns to England to serve Prince John after Richard's assassination. Though Scott felt John "was actually pretty smart, he got a bad rap because he introduced taxation so he's the bad guy in this", and the Sheriff would have been torn between the "two wrongs" of a corrupt king and an outlaw inciting anarchy. Locations were sought in North East England including Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, and Kielder Forest. A portion of filming was intended to take place in Northumberland. As a result of the WGA strike, production was put on hold. Scott sought to begin production in 2008 for a release in 2009.

Filming was scheduled to begin in August in Sherwood Forest if the 2008 Screen Actors Guild strike did not take place, for release on 26 November, 2009. By July, filming was delayed, and playwright Paul Webb was hired to rewrite the script. The film was moved to 2010. The Sheriff of Nottingham's character was then merged with Robin. Scott explained Robin "has to retire to the forest to resume his name Robin. So he was momentarily the Sheriff of Nottingham." Hedgeland returned to rewrite, adding an opening where Robin witnesses the Sheriff dying in battle, and takes over his identity. Scott chose to begin filming in February 2009 in forests around London, having discovered many trees which had not been pollarded. Scott was also pleased that the 200 acre Nottingham set that was built during 2008 had aged into the landscape. By February 2009, Scott revealed Nottingham had become his version of Robin Hood, as he had become dissatisfied with the idea of Robin starting as the Sheriff.

Filming began on March 30, 2009. In June and July, the crew filmed at Freshwater West, in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Filming also took place in the Bourne Wood at Farnham, Surrey during July and August and in Dovedale near Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

It was announced on March 26, 2010, that the film would open the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.

Jon Favreau said it was his intent to create a film trilogy for Iron Man, with Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) becoming Iron Monger during the sequels. However, Stane became the main villain in Iron Man after a meeting between Favreau and various comic book writers, including Mark Millar. Millar argued the Mandarin, whom Favreau originally intended to be the main villain, was too fantastical. Favreau concurred, deciding "I look at Mandarin more like how in Star Wars you had the Emperor, but Darth Vader is the guy you want to see fight. Then you work your way to the time when lightning bolts are shooting out of the fingers and all that stuff could happen. But you can't have what happened in Return of the Jedi happen in A New Hope. You just can't do it."

In an interview with USA Today, director Jon Favreau revealed that the sequel is set six months after the events of Iron Man. Favreau also discussed how their version of Iron Man's comic book nemesis the Mandarin "allows us to incorporate the whole pantheon of villains". He also mentioned that S.H.I.E.L.D. will continue to have a major role.

During development, Favreau said the film would explore Stark's alcoholism, but it would not be "the Demon in a Bottle version". Downey said, while promoting the first film, that Stark would probably develop a drinking problem as he is unable to cope with his age, the effects of revealing he is Iron Man, as well as Pepper getting a boyfriend. Before filming began, Downey revealed that while the film was not an adaptation of the Demon in a Bottle storyline from the comic book series, it was more about the "interim space" between the origin and the Demon story arc.

Justin Theroux signed to write the script in July 2008, which is based on a story written by Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. Theroux co-wrote Tropic Thunder, and Downey recommended him to Marvel. Genndy Tartakovsky storyboarded the film. Shane Black gave some advice on the script, and suggested to Favreau and Downey that they model Stark on J. Robert Oppenheimer, who became depressed with being "the destroyer of worlds" after working on the Manhattan Project. Adi Granov returned to supervise the designs for Iron Man's armor. Filming primarily took place at Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach, California.

Principal photography began April 6, 2009, at the Pasadena Masonic Temple. The fake working title was Rasputin. Filming also took place at Edwards Air Force Base and also at the 2009 Monaco Grand Prix. In an interview with Complex actress Olivia Munn revealed that she had been given another part and reshoots involving her scenes had taken place stating; "Actually, they just gave me another role in the film. I had to reshoot all of my scenes.... as they started to edit they realized it was becoming darker than what they'd expected and what my scenes had allowed for. My parts were lighthearted and comedic. Jon Favreau called and was like, 'I've got good news and bad news: This is what's happening in editing but we all really like you.' Marvel and Jon had to add another character from the Marvel universe to keep me included".

AC/DC will be providing the soundtrack to Iron Man 2, being released by Columbia Records on Monday, April 19, 2010. There will be two different versions, a deluxe and a standard edition. The deluxe edition will come with the 15 track CD with a 32 page booklet and a DVD featuring exclusive interviews, behind the scenes footage, and music videos and can only be bought from Amazon.com. The standard edition will include just the CD and can only be bought at Walmart.

The original score for the film was composed by John Debney. Tom Morello, who previously worked with Ramin Djawadi on the first movie, returned to work with Debney on the sequel. According to an article on Hollywoodreporter.com, Sony Classical will release the Iron Man 2 Original Motion Picture Score album separately from the AC/DC album.

The origins of TiMER can be traced to an event that traditionally marks the ending—rather than the beginning—of a romantic comedy. Writer/Director Jac Schaeffer explains, “It all started with my brother’s wedding. In the months preceding the big day, my mother kept one of those time-to-go clocks on her desk. It’s this migraine-inducing device that counts backward so that you know how much time you have left to plan. I would stop by the house and become transfixed by this clock from hell: ‘My brother is marrying the love of his life in 71 days, 22 hours, 53 minutes, 8 seconds…7 seconds…6 seconds…OH MY GOD!’ My mom would look at the dwindling numbers and wonder if she was going to have everything ready in time. Being super single at the time, I looked at it and thought, ‘Can everyone hear my ovaries shriveling up?’

Schaeffer theorized that a time-go-clock would be especially handy in the dating world. If technology could tell a person A) that he/she does indeed have a soul mate and B) precisely what time to expect him/her, the product would be a sensation. But in turning this idea into a screenplay, she began to suspect that knowing your romantic fate might cause more problems than it would solve. Schaeffer questions, “Let’s say you discover you’ll meet your perfect match when you’re 27. Would you wait chastely, hands folded in your lap, until he or she came along? Or would you sow your proverbial oats until that fateful meeting? What if you meet your soul mate when you’re 14? Do you forfeit the experience of dating other people? How about you find your life partner at age 48? You’d focus on your career, right? Personally, I’d waste years wallowing in my loneliness, certain I got a raw deal.”

Producer Rikki Jarrett came onboard the project as Schaeffer formulated an array of sympathetic and hilarious characters saddled with a variety of TiMER scenarios. Jarrett says, “Jac’s ideas are unlike anyone else’s. When she told me the concept I knew if afforded the opportunity to tell so many different stories. And I knew it would capture people’s imaginations. I love asking people if they would get a TiMER. It always sparks great conversation.” With this enthusiasm for the project, Jarrett helped Schaeffer develop the script over the course of a year.

As the story took its final shape, Jennifer Glynn joined the team, attracted to the themes of the piece: “Our life experiences make us who we are. The TiMER denies the characters the craziness of failed relationships. They miss out on the ecstasy and the agony of those mistakes. I mean, we almost named the film ‘Love is a Hot Mess’ because that’s really what we’re talking about.”

Now that the film is complete, Schaeffer has a new perspective on the TiMER. She says, “As tempting as it would be to turn my mother’s time-to-go clock into a countdown to meeting my soul mate, I know that a watched pot never boils.” Oona, the frustrated and endlessly appealing heroine of TiMER, must learn this lesson. Ignoring the ticking clock is the only way to live a full life. As Schaeffer attests: “Her story—and my story, and the story of anyone looking for love— isn’t about happily ever after. It’s about everything that comes before.”

The movie Mega Piranha is under the distribution of The Asylum and not yet rated. The film focuses on the Amazon River, where a strain of Megapiranha, a prehistoric species that supposedly died out millions of years ago, have survived in an isolated tributary of the river. Through human interference of the local environment, the megapiranha manage to escape from their isolated spot and swim downstream, killing all that crosses their path. The megapiranha gradually make their way towards Florida at the height of the tourist season.

After the outbreak, a team including Special Agent Fitch and Sarah Monroe, work to contain the megapiranhas within Venezuela. They begin to get into trouble with the authorities when they attempt to cross over the Venezuelan border. Not having proper clearance and documentation, Special Agent Fitch resorts to using the diplomacy of his fist and drives off. He is pursued by Colonel Antonio Diaz in a high-speed chase through the jungle. Throughout the chase, Fitch alternates driving a Toyota Camry and Hyundai Elantra while Diaz is seen at different points in a GMC Jimmy, Chevrolet Suburban, and Ford Explorer. Fitch escapes by stealing a helicopter and heads to the International Super Bunker (ISB). During the journey, the helicopter runs out of fuel and Sarah Monroe rigs the emergency oxygen tank to the fuel line to make it to the ISB safely.

The megapiranhas continue to move north and consume two battleships and a nuclear submarine. The megapiranhas reach south Florida and kill at least five tourists on a beach and manage to blow up two hotels. Meanwhile, the only force that can stop them is located at the ISB. After the megapiranhas prove impervious to torpedoes and depth charges and even a nuclear missile fails to stop them, Special Agent Fitch and Professor Sarah Monroe conclude that the only to stop the megapiranhas is attack them underwater with SCUBA divers with guns (That are really NERF Longshots painted black) by making the huge fish bleed and causing them to enter a feeding frenzy and kill each other. If this fails, then a massive nuclear strike will be used to destroy the megapiranha, as well as most of Florida.

In the middle of the operation, Colonel Diaz arrives in a helicopter, presumably using multiple oxygen tanks to fuel his journey. The Colonel aims to get revenge on Agent Fitch and throws a rope into the water to trick him into climbing up into the enemy helicopter. Fitch, upon his arrival, shoots the pilot in the mouth with a flare gun and the pilot's head explodes. Fitch then uses a homing beacon to attract a megapiranha and jumps out of the helicopter shortly before it is consumed by the fishy behemoth.

Fitch is pursued by the megapiranha that ate the helicopter and hides in a reef so that the megapiranha is unable to pursue. When the piranha opens its mouth, Fitch shoots his gun at the helicopter still in the beast's jaws. The helicopter explodes, killing the piranha. The other megapiranha converge on the bloodshed and Fitch is able to escape as the piranha enters a feeding frenzy and begin tearing each other to pieces, seemingly killing resulting in them wiping themselves out.
