Break Ke Baad will be released on 24th of November 2010 wide in any theaters. Break Ke Baad (2010) is a Drama, Romance and Comedy Film directed by Danish Aslam. The cast of the film are Imran Khan as Abhay Gulati, Deepika Padukone as Aaliya Khan, Sharmila Tagore as Aisha Khan, Shahana Goswami as Nadia, Yudhishtr Urs as Cyrus, Lilette Dubey as Pammi and Naveen Nischol as Jeet Gulati. The movie Break Ke Baad is under the distribution of Reliance Big Pictures and MPAA rating is not available. Abhay Gulati and Aaliya Khan have been friends since childhood. Aaliya has always loved acting, since her mum is an actor. Her dad left her and her mum. Abhay likes cooking but his dad wants him to take care of his business. Eventually Abhay and Aaliya start dating but Aaliya does not want to marry. An opportunity comes for Aaliya to go to Australia for acting school and so she takes it and goes to Australia, but she has to live with her strict aunt. After she gets annoyed of her aunt, she moves into this big bungalow where a bunch of young people live for cheap money. Abhay gets paranoid and so he comes to Australia, making Aaliya annoyed because she feels he doesn't trust her. Then they break up. Abhay opens up a restaurant and it becomes a big hit. Aaliya and Abhay slowly become friends. Aaliya finishes acting school and Abhay's dad finds out about his restaurant and lets him do what he wants to do (cook). For Aaliya's graduation Abhay and his mum come. Aaliya gets an opportunity to work in a movie and signs the contract without telling her mum, so her mum gets mad and leaves. Soon Abhay gets fed up with Aaliya too, because she is selfish and he leaves. One of her friends tell her he is getting married. Realizing she loves him,she quits the movie and rushes to the airport. She lands in India and her mum picks her up and tells her she forgives Aaliya. Aaliya gets to Abhay's house and he is getting ready. Aaliya begs him to think who would he rather be with this person he just met or his best friend forever. Then Aaliya picks up the card and it say Abhay Ghulati and Aaliya Khan. The music of the film is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and received positive reviews from critics. NDTV described the album as consisting of "a robust mix of songs that are hummable and will be enjoyed by a majority of people." Abid from Glamsham predicted that "the success story that V-S wrote starting with I Hate Luv Storys and Anjaana Anjaani this year will surely carry on with BREAK KE BAAD" Joginder Tuteja from Bollywood Hungama called it "an unconventional album, especially when one looks at it from the Bollywood standpoint" while giving it a 3.5/5 star rating.

Break Ke Baad met with mixed reviews from critics. Filmfare critic Sukanya Venkatraghavan gave it it's best review, calling it "possibly the best love story we have seen all this year and maybe last year too.".

Positive reviews included critics Rajeev Masand, who said that director Danish Aslam "makes a respectable debut with a reasonably engaging film." and Anupama Chopra who praised Deepika Padukone's performance as "her best to date". ".

Negative reviews included Taran Adarsh, who stated that even though the movie had a "vibrant Imran and Deepika as its USP", it also had a "faulty and an unpersuasive screenplay as is its major stumbling block" ".

Break Ke Baad grossed Rs. 10.50 crore nett over its first weekend. The film grossed 3 crore nett on Friday (opening) and picked 3.75 crore nett each on Saturday and Sunday. In the US, the collections over the first two days were about $114,742 as compared to lead actor Imran Khan's previous release I Hate Luv Storys which collected $50,176."

Even though the overall business done by the movie was strictly average, it managed to recover it's production cost of Rs. 18 crore even before it was released, thanks to the sale of satellite TV rights and marketing tie-ups."
